Happy Birthday Chris!

Today is my dear friend Chris' birthday. Happy Birthday Chris! Hope you are having a lovely day. Now this year I wanted to do something a little bit different and this is something that I have only ever made once before and that's a stitcher's wallet type thing lol! I had a text from Chris a little while ago saying that she loves it so I can now show it. I loved stitching this for her and I am so glad that she likes it.

Birthday gift for Chris

That is all I have to show today. I did stitch on BBD AotH Snow Garden last night but will show my little bit of progress another time. I am having issues with the GAST colours in the house as the ones I have look nothing like the colours in the photo on the chart! It's amazing how different dye lots can be isn't it?

Thank you for all the good wishes etc for my Dad. I had another scare this morning and had to go rushing to his house not sure what I was going to find but he had slept in ( very unusual for him) and was amazed to find out what the time was! I think my BP must have gone sky high in my panic! Anyway today we have to get him to the surgery for an ECG as his BP is very low as is his pulse rate which may have contributed to his fall on Monday ( although he says he's fine!) and he had some blood taken when the nurse came yesterday so we'll see what happens after that. I have to admit with worrying myself silly about my Dad and other things I am feeling like a complete failure at the moment.

On a happier note my Blackbird Designs Joyeux Noel booklet arrived this week and I absolutely love it. And have you seen the sneak peak of Shakespeare's Peddlar Jenny Bean Creation Sampler ???? I love the look of it so far! Must remember I am trying to stitch from my stash!!!!

Have a good weekend everyone. I am hoping to relax a bit and hoping for at least one day off from crying!!!!

Love and hugs

Sally

Hey, stop that, Sally - you would be much more of a failure if you WEREN'T worrying about your dad! I am sorry he is having all these scares but you are absolutely doing what you should be doing - being a loving daughter - and the sun is shining here so hope it is with you too! Love Chris's gift!

Love your finish for Chris. I noticed the same thing about the Snow Garden colours as well and have been watching everyone who is stitching this design. They ALL appear differently. x

That is a REALLY COOL gift that you made for Chris! I have not ever seen this before, and it is gorgeous.

Still sending positive thoughts your way that they will find out how to make your Dad's BP and pulse faster and more regular. And, you seem to be one fantastic daughter to me!

Beautiful gift! I hear it on the GAST dyelots. The house was tricky for me. Had to buy a whole new Cidermill Brown and borrow a bit of Woodsmoke for it to work for me. Hope things work out for your dad!

Sally, you've made a beautiful gift for Chris! I know it will be charished, and it's the first I've seen of this design.

You've been "johny on the spot" for your dad, and I hope that he gets some answers and a "fix" for his problems. I'll say a prayer for you both. Don't be so hard on yourself!

That's a beautiful gift you made for your friend - bravo! I know what you mean about dye lots - that and some of the overdyes I find "scratchy" and not pleasant to work with. I think it's all the dye that makes them stiff sometimes.

The stitchers wallet is wonderful and I love the sentiment that you stitched on it.

I hope things with your father settle down soon and that he gets to where he is feeling better quickly. I know that would be a tremendous relief to you!

What a gorgeous gift you've made! Beautiful!!

I am sorry to hear that you're feeliing so much angst over everything with your dad. Take heart, you are a wonderful person, and he's lucky to have you caring for him. I hope everything gets sorted and that he's better soon. I know how scary it is when you can't reach your parents... I have had a few panicked phone calls to my mother when she was out of touch--not so fun when we're on different sides of the Atlantic!

I am trying to fortify myself with talk of Market, knowing that I am trying to finish what I've started and that I have a ton of stash that I want to stitch. It's easier said than done!
