Prize For Rachael

First of all I must apologise for the colour of my text on my last post. I have started using Microsoft Word to type my posts and publish them to my blog (DH got Office Enterprise for a very good price through a scheme they do at work) and I obviously chose the wrong colour text and I couldn't change it once it was published; I did try. So this time you've got good old black which I hope you can read OK!

Just a quick post today to show Rachael's prize for naming my snow white bunny in the contest I had when it was my birthday. She suggested the name Snowdrop and that's the name the girl's picked out. Anyway I decided to stitch a little Shepherd's Bush freebie and make it up into a mini needleroll. Rachael received it today and I'm happy to hear that she likes it.

Shepherd's Bush Teri's Sheep

Can't remember the name of the fabric!

DMC Threads

Speaking of Shepherd's Bush I am still waiting for the Christmas present (Shepherd's Purse) DH ordered from Wyndham Needleworks back in November. He has heard nothing more from them until he emailed them to ask if there were any updates and he was told that they'd ordered it 3 times and it was backordered to them from SB. They had an order coming in last week and were hoping it would be in that but we've heard no more and the CC hasn't been charged. I'm so disappointed that it's still not here.

Another disappointment is the last BBD Loose Feathers design for 2008. The design is called Two Hearts and I'm sorry to say that it's not all that nice and I'm not the only one who thinks so. It's certainly not what I was expecting and not very BBD in my honest opinion. As I am in the LF club at Needlecraft Corner I have to have the chart but as I'm planning on stitching the mystery it won't really matter.

Did you get much snow yesterday? We got quite a bit but nowhere near as much as some parts of the country did. Infact ours has all gone which is a shame! It turned to rain yesterday afternoon, rained all night then froze at day break. It was bitterly cold and the high winds made it even colder. At least we have a lovely sunny but very cold day today. There's a possibility of more snow later in the week.

I'll be back later in the week with updates on my WIPs. Hope you're not bored of them.

Hugs

Sally

What a cute little needleroll. Rachael must love it.
Hmmm, I'm not really fond of the latest BBD Loose Feather either. But as I'm not on automatic I won't buy it. But that's just me.

Love the needleroll.

What a shame your present hasn't arrived yet but I'm sure it will be worth the wait.

Lovely needleroll Sally!

Sorry to hear about your Shepherd's Purse order, I hope you get it soon.

I was also so disappointed about the new Loose Feathers :( I haven't really liked that many of last year's, so I cancelled my auto and I'm just going to pick up the ones that really take my fancy this year. I'm not even planning on stitching the Mystery Sampler, so this one is a complete waste of money for me, and judging by what I've read online, I'll probably find it hard to sell it on. Ah well!

Lovely little needleroll Sally. I haven't seen the new BBD, what a shame you are disappointed with it.
We've had snow here, which is really unusual

Lovely needleroll you made for Rachael.

We've had plenty of snow, it's still out there, hasn't melted away at all and we're expecting more too.

You're going to love Shepherd's Purse. If yours doesn't arrive soon, I'd be happy to lend you mine - I'd offer to give it to you outright, but I think I'm going to stitch this piece again.

I love your needleroll!

I agree totally about the LF..what were they thinking? It is the ugliest thing I've seen in a LOOOONG time :o( But I have to buy it for the mystery....

A wonderful needleroll.

Yes, we have snow!

Your needleroll is so sweet!
I was really disappointed with the BBD LF as well, but I must admit I was rather intrigued to see the smaller version of the green hand. Perhaps that's the one I will choose to stitch. Wasn't too thrilled about the penultimate one either, BTW. But the fabrics and threads are so scrumptious, they're reason enough to join the club!

Just been admiring the needleroll over at Rachael's blog - so pretty. :0)
Shame about the latest BBD chart - haven't seen it yet, so off for a nosey.
Would have thought Wyndham could have kept you better informed, rather than your DH having to chase them up. Hope it arrives soon.

Such a beautiful gift you stitched for Rachel!

What a sweet gift to stitch for her. She will love it. I did not sign up for the BBD auto this year but I agree with you the newest design is not really BBD's type.

No snow here in California though I wish it would rain for that would mean I could go skiing in Tahoe, a place that is only at 38% snowpack for the year :(

Take Care
and Happy Stitching
Natasha

Your needleroll is so pretty! I must try one of those sometime soon :)

I'm so sad to hear no one is liking the BBD LF leaflet.. I've not received mine yet, but now I won't have high expectations. Darn.

It is raining here and we so need it!

I love your new look too!
