Just a Quick One Today

Just a quick post today as I'm not very happy with myself. If I am honest I haven't been for a few days so it's best I just show what I have to show and go away!

Last week I stitched on HAED quick stitch Girly Gothic after the SAL with Helen and UFO night on S&S. I am very pleased with the progress I made and at last I have an ear and an eye!! It has really given me a boost on this getting to where I have so when she comes out again ( in the New Year!) I shall be raring to go on her:) Stitched on 25 count Stormy Skies using DMC and Madeira Glissen Gloss. Unfortunately the sparklies don't show up too well.

Last night was Just Nan Queen of the Needle SAL night with Helen. It went well for me last night; how about you Helen? That rose was rather fiddly but the effect is just gorgeous!

Tonight is UFO night on S&S so HAED Winter will becoming out then for the rest of the week it'll be Just Nan Christmas Biscornu and some secret stitching:) I like secret stitching! Lol!

I am still waiting for my Christmas ornament to arrive from Simone's exchange. I know there's still a week to go before Christmas but you know when you just get that feeling that you're going to be one of the ones who doesn't receive theirs in time or get one at all! This has been the first exchange I've taken part in for a long time and I am going to be so disappointed if it doesn't work out right. We shall see and I'll keep you posted.

How is everybody's Christmas preparations going? I've got all presents wrapped, non-perishable groceries are bought so all I have to do now is get fresh stuff at the weekend. We have to go through to Beverley on Saturday to pick Abi's new glasses up so we may get the fresh stuff from Morrison's then.

Hope everyone is having a good week. I'm going to be very lazy this afternoon and watch a few episodes of the CSI Miami DVD Jess bought me and stitch! To hell with housework today!

{{{{hugs}}}} to everyone!

Oh my...well I certainly hope that your Christmas Ornament arrives..that is disappointing when others don't hold to their end of the bargain, hopefully its just the mail holding things up.
I love both of your WIPs! Good job!

Your stitching is gorgeous! I love the HAED's. All you stitchers who do these must be so, so patient.

I've got the last of my Christmas shopping to do this afternoon and haven't done any of the food shopping yet. You are organised lol

Have a good Christmas Sally. Best wishes xxx

I hope you are soon feeling back to normal!

You're making very good progress with your WIPs, I look forward to seeing the regular updates, you're very disciplined!

Fingers crossed your ornament turns up soon, but I've noticed the post is already slightly slower than normal!

I remember those roses, what a pain in the keister, but I went very slow and focused and got them all done correctly and they look beautiful. The one you got so far looks good. I'm jealous of your girly gothic, as you know, I was trying to stitch it. I probably went about it all wrong as it seems like those kind of cross stitches have a whole different procedure to doing them, I just don't have it in me. Yours looks great, congratulations.

Both of your pieces look wonderful Sally! I hope you get your exchange piece soon. I love your idea of watching a DVD and stitching all afternoon. I wish I could join you, but you're further along in preparations then I seem to be. Have fun stitching!

Wow girly gothic is making great progress. Queen is looking good too. I didnt get much done this week so we are about level again Sally.

At the moment I am stitching like made to get Shiona sampler done but then it will be clean, clean, clean and wrap wrap wrap lol. Not needing a lot of shopping as we are going to Davids on Christmas day and then having (I hope) a fairly quiet week on our own.

Hope the ornament exchange arrive soon. Since it's a secret one we don't know where does it come from. I just noticed that post here in Holland seems slow than usual, i am still waiting for a message about a package i sent nearly a week now, it is not an exchange, just a surprise present but still i don't want it to get lost!
Both progress are looking great!
Big hugs and take care.
