A Full Heart

So much for trying to get back to regular blogging! It just didn't happen did it?! However I have been getting some stitching done and I have had a finish or two but I can only show one for now.

Shepherd's Bush Shepherd's Fold A Full Heart ( as kitted )

I just loved every single stitch of this. It has taken me a while but it was well worth it as it is just beautiful.I now need to find some fabric to cover the paper mache box with then I can mount the stitching on the lid. Yes the proper box would have been nice but there is no way I can stretch to that much money! Anyway the chart and leftover threads are now for sale so do email me if you're interested. It is a lovely piece to stitch. I also have some Halloween pieces that I stitched for sale which I'll add to my For Sale page.

So last night I had to start part 2 of the fold which is the My Home Fob. One side is almost complete.

I don't think this will take long to stitch.

Barb and I have been stitching away on our CCN ornaments and she has finished Christmas Birdhouse. As you can see I have a few more stitches to pop in so I'll get those done this evening and start Merry Merry. I was sorting threads for Merry Merry earlier and realised I only had one of the hand dyes and I get them with the chart, fabric and button. I realised it must have been used on a previous one, which it had, but when I found what I had left there is not enough to stitch this one! I used it to make the cording on the other one. Arghhhh! So I'll use the DMC alternative instead.

Clara Ellen is coming along quite nicely. I think a couple more Mondays might see it finished. Margaret asked if I would show the whole piece so far so here it is :)

I have two Wednesdays to get my November Cottage finished and it seems to be going much better than it has in previous months! Love those colours.

Just a little more to do on December's Holly. I think I should have a big celebration when I've finished it. It's 2 years since I finished the first one of this series!

Of course no post would be complete without my lovely Robin. I still have not finished page 5 but it'll be finished this Saturday!

Our PC ( well it is mine now as DH has had a laptop for a couple of years ) threw one this week. I used it Monday afternoon and it was fine but when I went to switch it on on Wednesday it was totally dead. It's rather old now and getting slow but I felt I couldn't warrant buying a new one as I don't use it that much. So we went to ask the advice of the repair place and he said it could be the switch, the power supply unit or the motherboard but he'd need to run a diagnostic to see what it was. So it turned out to be the power supply unit and it has a new one fitted at a cost of £20 so I'm quite happy with that. In the meantime though I have been trying to get Jess' old laptop updated as she reset it to factory settings so that I could use that. It is still trying to download the final 151 updates!

Thank you all for your lovely comments about our budgie Billy. We still can't over him being gone and we often look to where his cage was to talk to him. It is so quiet without him. I miss his frantic tweeting when we leave the room and when he heard the birds outside!

That's all my news for now. I'll be back next week with my October stitch from stash report and I'll hopefully visit you all over the weekend.

Until next time.

With much love

Love seeing all your beautiful stitching. Such good news on the computer -- always nice when something that seems dead turns out only to need a power switch for not much money. Good luck setting up Jess's old laptop.

You have done a lot of lovely stitching since your last post. Ancongratulations on finishing the SB project. I can't wait to see it mounted on the box lid.
So sad that you lost your little budgie.

I do love seeing your updates, particularly the cottage of the month as it is always a reminder to me that I should be doing some stitching too in this department. x

So glad your computer fix wasn't a costly one, Sally! I am afraid to turn mine off anymore as I fear it won't turn on again, so I leave it on all the time :)

Really love your SB finish and I agree about spending all the money on the suggested box--I'd much rather spend it on stash!!

The SB Fold looks lovely, I hope you can find a suitable box for it now.

Great progress on the rest of your pieces too. Your rotation really seems to work.

Sorry to hear about your little budgie, it's very strange when there is a space where a pet used to be.

As usual I love everything you're working on Sally. I will definitely give you a huge cheer when you finish the Cottage Garden Samplings as I know how much work goes into them. They really are beautiful.
I love your sweet Robin too, he looks like he's getting close to a finish. You have done really well to stick with him!
