SAL Change, New Starts & A Teeny Giveaway

After a little deliberation Barb and I decided to change from our Blackbird Designs SAL. I hadn't wanted to say anything to her that I wasn't really feeling it for BBD at the moment but thankfully she said it to me :) She still wanted to SAL and as it was on Christmas ornaments or With Thy Needle Wordplays I said yes please!!! So Monday we both started a Little House Needleworks ornament. Here's my wee start. This one is Snow in Love and I have been looking forward to stitching this since I bought it but just never got around to it.

I also made a start on Sunday on my October ornament for the Christmas All Year Round SAL. The theme is snowmen so I chose Peace by Sam Sarah Design Studio. I think I'm into snowmen at the moment!

On Friday and Saturday I picked up HAED Guardian. I didn't make quite as much progress as I would have liked but if I could stay off Facebook and the PC I'd be well away! I am still enjoying this so much though and am so glad I have my love of HAEDs back. Hmmmm I probably said this the last time but after everything we've gone through this past few years  I am more determined than ever to keep going and finish him no matter how long it takes. Plus after seeing a WIP picture of Spirit of Winter by Josephine Wall, which I have, I want to finish Guardian so I can start that! We shall see!

HAED QS Holly Fairy is coming along pretty well. It wasn't until I got my photo up on the PC screen that I saw how gorgeous the holly in her hair is. It seemed to take forever with all the different shades in it but it is so worth it.

Finally my progress from the parlour with the ladies of Needlecraft Haven. I almost scrapped this last night to restart it on different fabric but decided against it! By the time I put it away I was feeling happy with it again.

Having a small giveaway now for two charts that I was gifted with and have stitched this year. If you would like to be in with a chance of winning them please say so in your comment. Please don't post this on your blog as I would it like to be just for regular commenters. I'll pick a winner next week :)

Thank you for all your wonderful comments on my last post. I appreciate each and everyone of them. No productiveness on the finishing front this time but hopefully next time if I get the chance!

Until next time.

With much love

Sally

Oh Sally, I very much like the sparkly fabric. =)
Would you please include my name in the draw? They are both such pretty charts I do not have. Thank you. Take care.♥

I love all your progress pictures, Sally!! You always get so much done between updates. I want to be like you when I grow up!! LOL! : ) I love the charts, but I am going to pass on the drawing. I'm trying to be good and stitch what I have here! (We'll see how long that lasts!!)

I love your new ornament SAL with Barb. I am hoping to stitch this one soon. Great new start for the Christmas SAL. I must start mine too. Both of your HAEDs are coming along great as is your CCN. I am so pleased you decided to stay with your original choice of fabric as it is so lovely.

Hi girlfriend! I love that Snow in Love ornament & have had it in my stash for a while. Right now it is kitted up & awaiting its turn in the queue. I think I'll jump on the bandwagon (stitchwagon?) with you & Barb & start stitching it as soon as the one I'm currently doing (another LHN) is finished which should be tonight if I really work at it. Someone last year posted this ornament & she found tiny little snow shovels at a craft shop & just tied one of them on instead of stitching the shovel in the design. It was really cute!

Hello Sally,
I have been bad about reading blogs and commenting. I have been busy movie watching, and playing the Sims3, and messing around with graphics on the PC. So, your not alone. You have a great start on LHN ornament and SSDS snowmen. I can't wait to see the finishes. Good for you to get back to your HAED's. They are coming along. Have a great weekend.

All of your starts and WIPs look great! It's nice to know someone else is indecisive sometimes and goes back and forth about being happy and not happy with a piece they are working with. Please enter me in your giveaway. I love both of those charts!

All your wips look lovely so far - and I know what you mean when it comes to facebook and the PC, but then if we didn't have them we wouldn't have our blogs to share our work, so I guess that makes it worth it? :)

I would like to be included please, they are lovely charts.

Love all your stitching! It's good that you and your SAL partner decided before starting that you weren't happy with your choice. No fun to stitch something you're not in the mood for.
