First Finishes of 2009 & First New Start!

Happy New Year Everyone! I have had two finishes already; granted one was almost finished in 2008 but it's still a 2009 finish! Lol! First of all, in good time for Christmas 2009, is this one:)

Tournicoton Pere Noel Charmant

32 count Vintage Country Mocha Linen

Gentle Art Sampler Threads

Started 18th December 2008

Finished 2nd January 2009

On New Year's Eve I started The Sampler Girl New Year's Birds freebie and I finished it on New Year's Day.
The Sampler Girl New Year's Birds

Unknown fabric

Gentle Art Sampler Threads

Started 31st December 2008

Finished 1st January 2009

On New Year's Day I had my first new start of 2009. I joined Hazel's Beatrix Potter Quaker Sampler SAL when she first set it up and have been itching to get started on it:) I didn't stitch much on it but did get one motif done and I love how it looks. I'm stitching it on 25 count cream lugana using Victorian Motto threads in Antique Rose.

Finally my framed Blackbird Designs Blessings and Kind Wishes. I had it framed in the same moulding as Where My Heart Blooms as I wanted to hang them together.

I have had another small new start but can't show it yet:)

We took all the Christmas decorations down today and it looks so bare and horrible now! It always does until I get used to it again. Now I need a good tidy and clean up. DH is back at work on Monday and the girls are back at school Tuesday so I'll be all on my lonesome feeling sorry for myself until I get used to that again. LOL!

Take care everyone!

Hugs

Happy 2009! Sally to you and your family.
Love the two finishes, I must lokk up the Noel Charmant, it is so whimsical.
Nice start on the BP. BBD loooks great in the frame.
I will be lonely too, kellie goes back to school, dh goes back to work and I won't have brianna as much cause heather is taking a few night course.
Congrats on the 1st finishes on the new year.
Take care!!

That Tournicoton is gorgeous! Good start on the SAL too.
I know what you mean about the Christmas Decorations, it looks so bare and cheerless once they come down. The florist always does well out of me after 12th night ;)

Two lovely finishes and a start on a big project - what a great beginning of a new year. I love both finishes, Tournicoton is one of my favourite French designers. I also wanted to stitch Tanya's freebie on Jan 1 but couldn't print it out :(

The BDD is such a beauty!

Oh, so many lovelies you've stitched and finished in the past year, Sweetie and you are starting the new year with some beautiful finishes as well! :-)

I just LOVE Joyeux Noel!!! Where do I find the chart, Hun? It's adorable and I love the colours and the sheer whismy of it all!!! And Tanya's New Year design is so lovely!

I love, love, love your colours on BP Quaker... I still cannot make up my mind between Belle Soie Silks - Red Fox, Rosebud or Rose of Sharon... or something more along the lines of Silk 'n Colours Camelot's Lady or Wine and Roses... and the second colour will be a very pale colour... something like Silk 'N Colours My Hearts Garden or a latte or ecru... Or maybe I'll just stitck with Browns and use Belle Soie's Fawn or Chocolate! I just don't know and I wish I could make up my blooming mind... so if you have any ideas... PLEASE tell me to do something as I'm so tired of trying to decide! lol

I just LOVE your BBD finish, Hun! It's Gorgeous and so beautifully framed!!! I know you are over the moon to add it to your exquisite collection of stitchery! :-)

Wishing you a Blessed and Joyful Stitchy New Year Sweetie and Sending you lots of Love and Hugs...
