A Happy Finish!

Hello everyone! Tuesday night I had a finish and it's a finish that I absolutely love. I enjoyed stitching this very much and it's been a lovely change as I have been a bit bored with my stitching of late.

Lizzie*Kate Happy ( bonus designs from Things Unseen )

32 count Nougat linen

I think I have become a little bored because I've had so many series going on as in the cottages and the garden journal.  Don't get me wrong I love them but I think stitching the same sort of thing for months on end is getting to me! I picked up my AotH again and I'm already fed up of that! I think once I am finished with all these I will have to rethink the way I stitch and make sure I have a better variety ( as in no series or only one series at a time! ).

Speaking of the garden journal I made a little more progress on December's Holly. It is looking rather pretty even if I say so myself. There does seem to be a lot more work in this one somehow.

As for the cottages I made a start on October. I hope to get on better with this one as I'm so last minute with them now.

Clara Ellen is growing a little week by week but it will be slow!

I didn't stitch on my fold last week as I wanted to make a start on the cottage ( I didn't stitch at all on Wednesday when I would usually stitch on it )  but I will be back to that this week. I only have 2 more of the fold to get now so my collection will be complete in October :). I bought a paper mache box last week to mount the first fold on and keep the other bits in but I shall have to cover it to make it look nice. As much as I would really like the proper box I can't justify spending all that money.

Barb and I are hoping to get Holly Jolly finished this week but I think I may have a bit too much to do to. Love this one!

Finally my lovely robin. Getting there with page 5 :)

Last week my DH and Abi were on holiday from work. Jess should have been but because she changed jobs she didn't have it. We worked round her though so she could come the wildlife park. We only normally go once a year but Abi desperately wanted to go back and see the tiger cubs again so we thought why not. It was a little chilly but we had a  brilliant day and between DH,  Abi and I we took well over 1000 photos! I'll show just a few of mine  here :).

That's all my news for now. I must some finishing done before I post again!

Take care everyone.

With much love

Oh, Sally, your wildlife photos are incredible--you really have a great eye for photography! Congratulations on the latest finish--so glad you enjoyed stitching it. I've been a bit bored with my stitching lately, too--not sure what the problem is!

I love absolutely everything you're working on Sally
Sorry to hear you're feeling fed up with your stitching. I get like that when I have too many WIPs and UFOs. You seem to foust on a manageable number though. Perhaps a couple of smaller finishes would get you back on track?

Hi there Sally,
So lovely to read your post, the photos are brilliant ,my daughter loves Polar bears and I shall have to show her that one. I have an idea for our SALs ,I will sound you out next time I (see you) , which will be this evening with Holly Jolly,
My goodness you put me to shame with all your stitching. The cottages are almost there , like you I feel bad having all these charts and some I no longer want to stitch , but one day the mind may change.
Take care and keeeeeep stitching.

Beautiful stitching..love them all. I'm not one for cottages but I like to see other peoples! I love the photos...it is sad that I look at some of them and think they would make amazing cross stitches lol?

Your wildlife center photos are wonderful! Loved seeing them.

I'm doing a couple of block type projects. I agree that one at a time is probably a good idea. I do have AotH about 90% completed. I just need to find my mojo...

Congratulations on the finish and the progress on the other pieces too.
I know what you mean about all the different series too. My solution seems to be to only stitch one of each series per year! It might take me twelve years to complete them but at least I won't get bored!
Lovely zoo photos too, haven't zoos changed so much over the years? So much better for the animals.

A wonderful finish, and great progress on your different projects. I also try to have different projects on the go, different in style and colours. So when I'm bored with something I switch to something completely different.
Great wildlife pictures.

Love your LK finish! It is a nice saying!! Good progress on your rotation pieces. Before you know it, several will be completed and you will be thinking about the next starts! The Robin is fabulous, as always! Maybe next year, you will just stitch as you go for a change... Hugs!

Lovely interesting photos Sally, watching your work on the robin which is so pretty. I tend to jump from cross stitch to blackwork or crochet, sewing etc, so not to get into a slump.
