Hello again everyone! It's supposedly a little cooler today and, even though the wind is blowing and it's cloudy, it doesn't feel like it is. Phew it has been way too hot for me but these last few evenings I've been sitting out on the patio stitching and it has been lovely. Much cooler than sitting indoors.
First of all I have a finish. This lovely chart was passed on to me by dear Julie I don't remember when. I started it and for some reason it became a UFO. I picked it up and still have no idea why it got put away as I have thoroughly enjoyed stitching it. So here it is!

I did not have a bird charm so used a bee instead. My plain heart charms did not fit in the box so I used a made with love charm.
Now Julie has said I can pass this chart on so if you would like to stitch this please tell me in your comment. I would prefer it if you have a blog so that when you have finished with it you can pass it on or if you are a member of Needlecraft Haven and can pass it on there.
Typing of Julie it is her birthday today so Happy Birthday Julie! I saw a lovely design that Gaynor of Stitchers Anon had designed for her retreat both virtual and real but as I couldn't stitch it straight away I asked if it was OK if I stitched later! So this is what I stitched for Julie and I am happy to say she loved it. I also sent her a needleminder but forgot to take a photo of that!

Just want to say thank you for all your lovely comments on my Lo finish. It will be going to the framers soon I think. Sue asked which Better Homes and Gardens book the design was in. I can't contact you directly as you're a no reply blogger and you have no blog either so I hope you will read this :). It is from the Better Homes and Gardens A Cross Stitch Christmas book which you can find on Amazon UK or USA here and here. I do hope that helps.
I do have another finish and this time it's the 9th Day of the 12 Days of Christmas. I can't believe that Barb and I only have 3 more to do!

I had a new start on Saturday to replace Lo. Oh how I like a new start! I have felt a little stale with some of my stitching lately so it's been nice to finish some things and have new starts. Helps keep the ole creative juices flowing! Just wish I could get more creative with the finishing! So this is my new start. It's from a Just Cross Stitch magazine from a few years ago and is Carriage House Samplings 1823 Emma Elizabeth Blackwood Sampler. I'm stitching it in DMC on 40 count cream Gander linen.
Sitting outside stitching has kept me away from my tablet so has meant no interruptions playing games etc so more progress. Here's June's Honeysuckle from Sunday evening.
Snowman's Cottage from Monday evening. Hoping to finish this next Monday and start the next one.
I managed to stitch on LHN Needleworker with no frogging this time. I'll be stitching on this tonight with the ladies in the parlour at Needlecraft Haven.
Finally some progress on Just Nan Winter's Eve.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that my final auto of Frosty Forest will be here soon as that will mean that Garden Bliss will arrive too. My long time online friend Fiona asked me to order her one too which I was happy to do. It should still be within what customs will allow but now I'm worrying a little as if they include postage it won't be. I think if they take postage into consideration it's a con! However I will see what happens. I'll have to be patient but waiting for new stash is not a patient matter! Lol. ETA IT'S HERE! Will show it next post :)
I am hoping to try and blog and comment on blogs more regularly than I have been doing of late. I start off with good intentions but it never seems to last. I need a good kick up the butt and a good talking to lol!
Take care everyone and thank you for visiting :) Please leave me a comment if you have time as I love reading them.
With much love
Sally xxx

Beautiful stitching as always Sally, that's a gorgeous gift for Julie :-)
You saying that about your sweet nothings chart I think I have one you sent me to stitch and pass on, I must look it out.
Some lovely work stitched again Sally , yes it's a bit to hot for me , The sun is back out here again this afternoon but too hot to do any thing.
I love the colours in the Just Nan one.
Wishing you a happy mid week.
Love your three finishes! Emma Elizabeth looks really wonderful, too. I'm in awe of all of your WIPs that have seen recent progress! You are a fast stitcher!
beautiful stitching
Very nice and pretty work Sally. Honeysuckle is a very sweet one too.
Lovely stitching Sally. I have to agree with you its just too hot - its the humidity of it all that gets me. Rain forecast here tomorrow so hopefully it will cool down a little. I love the 'Our Family' chart its so nice and I would love to included in your giveaway for it thank you x
oooo lots of stitchy goodness going on here :) hope your auto's arrive soon ..
been to hot for this wee mouse .... glad of the cooler mornings ..lol
lovely new starts too ... love new starts :) love mouse xxxx
You must have our share of sunshine and heat over in England, Sally, as it is very brisk and cool here this week. It doesn't feel like summer at all :(
Lovely finishes and WIPs--I sure hope your shipment of the next Frosty Forest chart arrives without problems...
Love all the stitching as always! The Honesuckle has to be my favorite though.
Thanks, Sally. I see those books on Amazon but there are several with the same name just different years. Which year is the one with the BN design in it?
Fabulouis stitching Sally. I love the little dancing deer on the 12 days one
Lovely stitching as always Sally.
Oh, as much as I loved "Lo", I like your new project even better. I adore Kathy Barrick's designs! :) Your recent finishes are so cute - especially the reindeer one.
super sweet stitching and great projects..
big hugs x
Hello!
Beautiful stitching finishes and wips - your blog is lovely!
Piękna kolekcja haftów. Pozdrawiam.
Beautiful stitching as always Sally! I especially love the Emma Elizabeth Sampler. I have a big pile of older JCS mags with some lovely designs in them that I want to stitch but could never remember which mag they were in, so I spent a lot of time going through them making a note of the design, designer and the mag. This is one of the ones I want to stitch, but it will be a while now before I do, as the mags that I didn't have shipped out here with me have now had to go into storage while we let our house until we return to the UK!
I too could do with that good talking too and kick up the butt...lol!
Thank you again for my lovely pillow. Your version of Our family has turned out lovely.
A lot of pretty work. Love the honeysuckle.
Another awesome update Sally. Your stitching is gorgeous and you get so much done.

mm I thought I had left a comment. Lovely stitching Sally: all totally gorgeous. And yes, I would love a photo xxxx Wouldnt mind some of the Uks heat and sun either! Grey and rainy here in Ireland.
Lovely stitching Sally! Love the little pillow you made with Gaynor's design :)
You have some wonderful finishes here. Very lovely. And great progress on your different WIPs. Some time ago I also stitched Emma Blackwood but haven't made her into anything yet. I'm very curious to see what you will come up with.
Here on the east coast of the US it has been grey and rainy for several days... I like your thoughts about 'getting stale' and switching up. I do that, though hadn't really known why...thought I was just too flighty! Love your Emma sampler start, and great going on all of your other pieces. Hugs!
Super cute little crosses and a beautiful gift for Julie
I think I know where our summer weather has been. :) What a beautiful finish on Our Family! And a sweet birthday gift for Julie! You have some lovely projects going, too. Glad to hear your new stash has arrived. :)
I'm glad it has gone a bit cooler too, sleeping was terrible. I was nearly at the point of getting the fan out but then the noise would of kept me awake. Can't win!
Beautiful stitching. I usually have a huge splurge and get all caught up, then I seem to get all behind again ... like now!
Beautiful stitching!! Please put me down for a chance to stitch JBW Designs Our Family. You are making great progress on your pieces.
