Almost There!

I have been stitching up a storm these last few days on BBD Loose Feathers #29 Where My Heart Blooms and it is almost finished! Finger's crossed that Fridays session will see it finished as I might just have the next one, Rites of Spring, by then! Even after the frog had visited I still really enjoyed stitching this one and am looking forward to Friday.

Last night I started Bygone Stitches A Quaker Christmas and got one motif stitched:) I am using my own coffee dyed 25 count fabric with Carrie's Creations Old World Red, Antique Gold and Frosty Pine. Old World Red will be the main colour as I didn't fancy green being the main one. I think that this is going to be lovely to stitch and of course, it's a Quaker design:)

I am going to make a change to my rotation again. I have been thinking about the two HAEDs I have on the go and everytime they come round in my rotation I don't want to stitch them on and just feel that I have to because they are there. Well we all know that stitching is supposed to be a pleasure and not a chore so I have decided to put Guardian away for now and just have quick stitch Girly Gothic in my rotation. I'll be replacing Guardian with A Quaker Christmas so that I get more stitched on that and hope to have it finished by Christmas. I will still stitch on it on a Monday evening too. I do feel a little guilty as Guardian was a gift but I'm not to going to carry on with something when I don't really want to at the moment. I may well come back to it later on in the year. I don't need to feel miserable over something I'm stitching as my hormones can make me that way as it is and I need things in my life that are going to lift me up not put me down.

I don't think I'm doing too well on the chart wagon at the moment. The other week when I was feeling ill and really down I put an order in with the wonderful Thread Bear for LHN Schoolgirl Lessons, La D Da Quaker Alphabet and a skein of red DMC Variations to stitch the LHN in. Kate had to order the La D Da chart in and in the meantime I'd finished Just Nan Queen of the Needle so I emailed her to ask if I could add a pair of bell pull ends to my order. Well my order arrived yesterday and I love both charts and the bell pull ends are perfect for Queen so she is now hung in my living room. When I looked at my receipt Kate hadn't charged me for the bell pull ends so I got straight on the phone to tell her:)

I am all ready for my SAL with Nic! I'm going to use my Jayne's Attic COM from last month which is Jonquil and I think it'll perfect for Morning Song. I need to do a floss toss just to make sure that all the colours will stand out OK.

Thank you for all your lovely comments on the latest addition to our family. Billy ( the third!) seems to be settling well and does not seem to be scared of anything as yet! Iv'e vaccuumed, used the hair dryer and he doesn't seem bothered by it. He's found his food pot, is quite the acrobat hanging upside down on his perch then swinging back up! I think he could be a bit bored today as the girls are back at school and he just has me for company! Lol!

I'm going to make a start on my yoga today. Thought I'd wait until I was on my own and I know I'd get disturbed otherwise! I'm going to take it slowly and just do a bit every day until I get used to it.

Well I best go and get on! Cleaned some of my kitchen cupboards out earlier and threw some stuff away! I must be feeling a bit better if I'm doing that as I just haven't been bothered to do much lately. Keeping my finger's crossed that it keeps going that way- please

Hugs

I'm loving your progress on the Loose Feathers piece - I think it's the nicest Blackbird Designs design I've seen for a while.

Thread Bear are great, aren't they! I'm already planning my stash order for next month - I allow myself a few goodies on pay day, but then I always seem to get more ... but I did spend ages on the stash wagon, due to (gasp!) lack of interest at one point, and then lack of cash, so overall it's not too bad LOL

#29 is looking great. I should get smokin' on mine if I want it done before the next one comes in the postie.
I love the start of QC. I have mine ready to go, but If I start mine now I will be pressured to finish it like, what? 7 months. I think I will have to drool over yours.

You have been stitching up a storm and it all looks beautiful. I have to tell you I'm very glad that you decided to change your rotation based on what you want to stitch on. I think that sometimes we forget that for us, this is a pleasure, so work on what makes you happy right now and don't worry about the other. At some point you'll want to pick it back up and then it will be fun again. Have fun stitching!

I'm not a big BBD fan - but this is a very pretty piece!

Don't feel too bad about falling off the wagon. Sometimes we need the pick-up that only a bit of stash buying can give. :)
