So Near......

Yet so far on some of my WIPs this week! Just a few more stitches on them and they'll be finished.  It's always the same though when you want to finish but your eyes are saying no go to bed!

First almost finish is Spell of the Moon. Barb has started her next one and I'm itching to start mine but just need a few more stitches in. I'll get my next one ready to start as I'm sure it won't take me long when I pick it up on Monday evening.

Next almost finished is Beerenherz im Winter. Yes nearly there and it all meets nicely . I say almost finished but now I look at it there is the tree to do yet so maybe it'll take a couple more stitching sessions yet. *sigh* lol!

Almost finished no. 3 is Dear Santa. I thought this would be a fairly quick stitch and I was right. Just the red bit of the border to finish, the star on the tree and the dreaded French Knots!  I hate them!

Progress was made on the March Cottage which is just as well as I only have two more Tuesdays to finish it. I have to keep up with these so there will be no slacking!

The next Frosty Forest was duly started. I am getting quite excited that I only have this block and the middle one to do now. It seems to have taken forever  ( yes I know that's a bit of an exaggeration!  ) but it has been well worth it.

I stitched a bit more on September's Morning Glory. Lots of lovely colours in this one too just like all the others in the series.

I have so much I want to stitch and it's rather silly. Too many lovely charts in my stash that I want to start right now but too many other things on the go so it is definitely a good job I'm doing SFS again this year. I think I have just gone overboard  buying charts in the past and let's face it you can only stitch so many at a time. If I never bought another  chart for 10 years I'd have plenty to keep me going I think! Why oh why do we do it! Lol!

Thursday saw me going for my first appointment with a balance physio. I've been waiting since last June to be seen and am glad I've finally been seen as I see the consultant again in just over a week when I will, hopefully, find out the results of the scan I had.  Obviously nothing serious as that was done in November.  I had over an hour with the physio being assessed etc and I  came away with some slightly different exercises to do which I find a bit more difficult but they are to push me. She noticed whilst assessing me that my hips are not in alignment.  Although she said she shouldn't move away from the  balance thing she couldn't leave it incase it's anything to do with my dizzy spells etc  so has given me an exercise to try and free my hips off then next time she wants to look at the line of my back. All I want to do is feel 100% again  but I'm not confident although she did think there was some improvement since I first saw the consultant.

Thank you for all your lovely comments on my last post. I have finally got caught up on blog reading and commenting. I really should learn not to leave it so long before I do it!

That's all for now. I really need to get some more finishing done to get the pile down. I seem to have got myself in a rutt of late but I'll get there one day!

Take care everyone and stay warm and safe if you're still having snow storms. None here and it looks Spring might be on the way. I'm so not ready as I don't feel we've had a decent winter yet!

With much love.

Loads of gorgeous almost-finishes! It will be so satisfying to tick them off the list. That sounds interesting with your balance issues. I hope they can get to the bottom of it.

Oh Sally, I hope you get it all sorted and fixed up with the physio.
Wow! You are going to have so many finishes to share soon. Have fun with finishing.

Sally, you are so close on so many! That will be a lovely feeling as you complete those projects all in a row! :-) I pulled out a project that I started on my birthday last February and I had hoped to finish it for my birthday this year, but I didn't quite make it! I should finish it today though. :-) I love finishing stuff! :-)

Like you, I definitely have enough stuff to keep me busy for the next 10 years! :-)

We are supposed to get a snow storm this afternoon. I am going to try and get to the Strawberry Sampler this morning to get some fabric and threads for my tea tray project. Have a great weekend!

Lovely lovely stitching as always! I didn't realize you were having balance and dizziness issues. I hope you can find a solution. Having gone through some vertigo and balance issues myself recently, I know what it's like and it's not fun. Lots of hugs.

I know that overwhelming feeling when you want to stitch so many things and there are just so many hours in the day. But once you have finished all your nearly finished pieces you can start some new ones. I'm alo in a starting mood right now but want to continue stitching on my old projects as well. Sigh ...

I hope you will soon get nearer to feeling 100%, maybe after a couple more appointments.

So much beautiful stitching! I know what you mean about having so many charts that you are desperate to stitch. Although I'm not in SFS, my sister is the keeper of my stash budget this year to ensure I focus on what I already have and love - she is quite tough lol!

So many WIPs in the pipeline that are so close to finishing. I do like The Spell of the Moon, all black and then those areas highlighted in yellow.

Hope you feel better soon.

You are so close to finishing so many beautiful projects, Sally! I am in total agreement with you about the too much stash issue!! I finally began a lovely piece that has been sitting in my stash for probably 10 years... It makes me happy to bring these charts that have been waiting so patiently to be stitched, to life :)

Hope the new exercises help! That is a long, long time to wait for an appointment!

Oh Sally! It is NEVER silly to want to stitch countless/endless charts....trust me I have bins and bins of charts to prove it LOL I am in LOVE with your UB Christmas piece! WOW!!!!! and the Dear Santa is on my to do pile as well.

Your 'almosts' are nearly there Sally, the charts you are itching to start next should be your final push to get these ones finished ~ they are all so beautiful in design and colour!
Good luck with the exercises, I know they don't makes things better immediately but perseverance hopefully will make things feel better for you.
I feel I've missed Winter altogether this year being stuck indoors on crutches so I'm with you with not ready for Spring yet and as the forecast is saying possible snow again next week we may get our wish come true even yet.
Have a good week xxx
