New Starts, A Finish & An Almost Finish

I can't believe it's been two weeks since my last post! I have been busy stitching and have had two new starts, a finish and have almost finished my LHN.

So here is said LHN Home of a Needleworker ( Too! ). I'm stitching this with the ladies in the parlour at Needlecraft Haven. I'd love to get this finished next week but don't think I will. There is a bit to do yet.

My new starts now. The first one is my ornament for the Christmas All Year Round SAL. This month is a free choice so I decided on Bent Creek Glad Tidings. I thought I'd stitch this with Barb until the next Little Sheep Virtues arrives here in the UK. I'm pleased with how much I got done.

Next new start is JBW Designs Our Family which you may remember Julie kindly sent me a few weeks ago. I started this at craft club on Tuesday. Not much done as I decided to stitch the border on LHN Merry Skater and that took me ages!

My finish is this. Loved every single stitch and it just makes me smile and believe me I need something to make me smile!

Little House Needleworks Little Sheep Virtues Hope.

32 count Country Vintage Mocha Linen

DMC

Started 18th February 2013

Finished 4th March 2013.

Can't wait for the next one to arrive!

Progress on my HAEDs now. Some are going better than others! I finished page 11 on Guardian and made a good start on page 12. If I can keep on making some decent progress I shall be happy.

QS Holly Fairy is coming along quite nicely. I'm stitching lots of black at the moment. I really should have bought a cone! Wonder if I get this finished for the middle of the year?!

Next is QS Spirit of Winter Robin. There is a bit of  confetti in this which slows me down quite a bit but it'll worth it. Can you see the bit where the robin's beak will be?

Finally I got a good few stitches in on SK Dragon's History. I spent a little bit of time on Saturday afternoon then as Mother's Day was on Sunday here in  the UK I decided to stitch in the afternoon. So I've almost stitched the top 20 rows of this. Again quite a bit of confetti so it doesn't grow very fast.

Thank your to those of you who have emailed me to ask how I'm doing now. In all honesty I'm not doing very well but I don't want to  bring my blog down and have people stop visiting ( I once had an email several years ago saying maybe I should start a second blog for the personal stuff) and it is, after all, a stitching  blog so I put a brave face on! My stitching has been a God send and I don't know what I'd do without it.

Until next time.

With much love

Sally

Hello my friend! It is indeed a stitching blog, but that is no reason to not share personal things if you want to! Wow! So many projects you've finished/worked on! You put me to shame : ) I'm actually feeling the pull to stitch again. I've told myself that if a particular pattern is available to me today, I will start something tonight. If not, I will find something to keep me busy : ) Hang in there, whatever may be going on in your life. You are, as always, in my prayers.

Oh my goodness Sally! You make my head spin. I don't know how you do it all!! I am a stitch-one-at-a-time-kinda-girl. ;)

I'm so sorry to hear that you're struggling, Sally. I'm sure that stitching the HOPE block was good medicine. The next one is just as sweet a stitch! I like your Home of a Needleworker. I have that in my stash somewhere. I think it will go on next year's list. : ) Glad Tiding will be so sweet when it is finished and your HAED's are making GREAT progress! I'd like to finish up my Sheep "Love" block and then I need to start on my HAED stocking again!!

Take Care!

Tricia

Wow you have been busy! Your LHN is looking great & the Little Sheep makes me smile too - there's just something about him isn't there? So glad your stitching is helping you through these dark days, many of us have been (or are still) there too for one reason or another. As far as what you say on your blog goes I would say it's your blog & you should write about what you want here! Hugs, Helen

No Sally, this blog is about YOU, it doesn't just mean it has to be stitching related in content. And if people choose to follow you then they should take you "warts and all" as the saying goes. How rude that someone would email you that!!
Love your progress pics and always do, it amazes me what you get up to.

You've definitely had your needle flying!

So sorry to hear you're not doing well. I look at your Hope finish and think that there is a reason this was the first virtue released.

I got here at last, slowly catching up on blogs again. Stitching is all beautiful Sally but I am waiting to see more of the Holly Fairy appear. You do so well with your HAEDs - I still have one in my UFOs but as there is only about a 1 inch square done it will be almost like a new start so will not be coming out for a while yet lol.

Lovely stitching as always. You should hang Home of a Neeleworker (Too) proudly, as yours certainly is! I find your blog all the more richer for the glimpses into your non-stitching life - wish you didn't have to experience the struggles but we all have them and can identify with yours. So keep at it, and thank you for sharing all parts of yourself so generously.

Lovely stitching.
It's your blog so please post about whatever you choose, do you care if such a rude person stops following you. If you are feeling down and want to post, know that there are many that care about you not just your stitching. Hugs.

Beautiful stitching and I really love Home of a Needleworker. Sorry to hear that you are still not doing very well. Big hugs to you and keep us informed of how things are...this blog is whatever you want to make it and if you want to post about what's on your mind then you should do it.

Lovely finish and the rest of your wips are looking lovely.

Sorry to hear you're struggling, I shall keep you in my thoughts and prayers. As for putting 'life' stuff on your blog, it's your blog and you can post whatever you want. If people don't want to see it they have a choice not to read it.
