No Facebook = More Stitching!

Yes I have been on as self-imposed Face book ban this week which means more stitching of an evening which equals progress! For 3 evenings this week I have stitched solely on Blue Ribbon Designs Stitched With Love and, even though I say so myself, it is looking gorgeous. If I can continue making progress like this each week I might just get it finished in time for our anniversary on 26th of next month. I am thinking of not getting it framed though and maybe finishing it the same way I finished La D Da Love is Patient.

Wednesday afternoon after a good session on the Wii Fit Plus ( weight is creeping up again which means I am very despondent) I fancied a small new start. I'd sorted threads and fabric for Drawn Thread Sanctuary which I'll be stitching along with Chris, threads for Silver Creek Samplers Dandy Dreams ( I have the urge to start this ASAP) and whilst sorting I came across a piece of 40 count fabric and decided to start this! Any ideas what it is??? Honestly at the rate I'm going I shall have to stay up all night as I just seem to want to stitch everything at the moment, which is not really good!

Finally I picked up Shores this morning from my trusty framer John and I love it! He did say that he'd struggled to get it straight so it's not quite there but I am very happy with it. For some strange reason I was surprised that it's so big, I don't know what I was thinking, but I found somewhere to hang it as soon as I got it home. OK I did actually take one of my angels down but I'll be hanging her somewhere else!

Yesterday postie brought me an envelope and it was from Barb:) She asked me if I would like the chart of SB The Journey and very kindly sent me it:) Thank you so much Barb. You must let me know what you would like for it though. This is another one I am itching to stitch. Also in the photo is Dandy Dreams which I won from Christine:)
Off to catch up on blogs now. Have a wonderful weekend my dear friends.

Hugs
Sally

Shores looks lovely Sally, and so does your anniversary piece. Next year, cotton is the traditional 2nd year wedding anniversary present so I am going to stitch my husband a piece. :)

Love, love, love Shores :) And your progress on your other pieces is great too! It's amazing how much we can accomplish when we stay away from the computer!

Wow, shores looks amazing Sally. I'm not surprised you hung it up straight away!
Good luck with finishing the anniversary piece, it's coming along very nicely. Your self imposed Facebook ban should help!!!

I play on FB in fits and spurts, so I find it dosen't often take away from my stitching time. Having it on my iPhone and using it while I'm out and about or in the car (not driving) seems to help with that.

Nice new start, good luck on getting it done in time for your anniversary.

That new small start do I see an arbour and little roof tops?

Wow Shores looks AWESOME!

Your Shores looks fab!! All your WIP's look great as always...you amaze me how much you stitch...I wish I could get that much done.

I am seriously considering coming off facebook...it's such a time consumer...in a BAD way!

Congratulations on finishing and framing Shores. It is absolutely stunning done. I recognize what a huge amount of work it was.
Very nice anniversary piece.
I try to stay off of Facebook too. I find I get a great deal more done that way.

Your Shores piece is fantastic, and the framing is just perfect!

Your anniversary piece is really going to be beautiful too. Our anniversary is the 27th of next month - 43 years - gulp.

I do envy your ability to have all those pieces going at the same time and continue to progress on all of them - amazing!

Well done on your self-imposed ban, Maybe I will do that and see if I stitch more. FB certainly is a time eater
Lots of lovely stitching!

Your framed Shores is gorgeous, Sally! Good for you for avoiding Facebook in lieu of stitching time. I'm not on it because I spend way too much time on the computer already between work and blogging!

Lovely stitching on your anniversary piece. Shores looks fantastic, your framer did a great job.

I should pull my WiiFit out as well. My DH bought it for me at Christmas, but with the pregnancy I find some of the balancing exercises really difficult. I think it will get a really good workout once the baby is born.

Hello Sally,
It seems I haven't been here to post in awhile. Your WIP's are looking great as ever. I haven't been on facebook in a long time. I found it took up all my time. Then I stopped playing all those games as I believe hackers can get into your facebook account. I have seen it happen many times. Now I get on to see what my family has been up to. Thanks for stopping by my blog. Have a wonderful week!

Shores looks wonderful!! That's fantastic. Your stitching is wonderful, as well. Isn't it amazing how much you can accomplish when you're not on the computer?! I try to limit my FB to checking it on my iPhone. I could spend 24 hours a day on the computer and not have done everything I want on it, so have to limit my time.
